There was a time when I believed Gandhi and Thirumavalavan were cut from a different cloth—statesmen who genuinely sought the people's upliftment without succumbing to cheap tactics. But the recent political shifts following the Tamil Nadu elections suggest otherwise. Their pivot toward the TVK feels more like a calculated move for power than a principled decision. It’s disappointing to realize that, in the end, even those I considered exceptional are governed by the same pragmatism as the rest.
